Remy Diebes

Remy Diebes is an intermodal industry leader whose career began in 1998 as a truck driver before advancing through dispatch, planning & development, operations, and executive leadership. With 27 years of experience, he brings a unique perspective that bridges the realities of the road with the demands of the terminal. Known for trust, credibility, and execution, he has helped shape the future of technology-enabled terminal operations. Today, as Founder of Nexus IO (NIO), he partners with operators, equipment providers, innovation partners, and investors to modernize terminals and build safer, more reliable, and future-ready operations.

Design of UIs and dashboards for drivers, clerks, supervisors, ROC operators and executives

Interfaces spanning VMUs, cranes, kiosks, driver assistance booths and ROC video walls

Focus on intuitive workflows, less screen juggling and tools that people actually use in the field

Change Management, Go-Live & Operationalizing Technology

Leading cutovers and go-lives in live terminals including operating plans and post-go-live stabilization and support

SOP changes, training and recurring qualification programs, including in union environments

Ensuring new systems, automation and processes take hold and stay embedded in daily operations

Workforce, Org Design & Governance

Building and reshaping org structures, operating models and support functions for growth

Shaping C-suite and leadership roles to match what the business and terminals need.

Experience working within and negotiating union CBAs, with decision-making and performance tied to safety, service and financial targets

P&L ownership and leadership of acquisitions and integrations for intermodal and technology-enabled terminal services

Financial modeling, business cases and plans to grow earnings and asset value for terminals and technology platforms

Support for investors, boards and operators with clear, ROI-driven modernization and M&A stories

Equipment Maintenance & Fleet Management

End-to-end experience with chassis, container and lift-equipment fleets

Design and management of lift-equipment maintenance and container/chassis repair programs
